AGM was held on Friday 7th September 2007 in the Club Pavilion, West Park, Jarrow at 6.30 pm
Bowling Plans for 2007.
Jarrow Bowling Club are now registered to play in the following Leagues and competitions for 2007:
STBA. Sawyer Cup - Thursday Afternoons.
DCBF. Marshall and Black Cups - Wednesday Evenings.
Robert Johnston Trophy - Tuesday Afternoons.
STEBA South Tyne Leage - Friday Evenings.
South Tyne K.O. Cup - Friday Evenings
Referbishment September 2006.
As can be seen by everyone visiting our pavilion in Jarrow West Park the refurbishment project is now complete and I am sure the benefits will show in the next few years. It is the management committee intention to continue the work started in 2005 to further improve our facilities should funding become available.
Referbishment 29/11/05
New wooden doors and locks have now been fitted to both ladies and gents toilets and broom cupboards. Individual Club storage Cupboards have been built in the equipment area. Members Individual Lockers have been ordered and are expected for delivery by Xmas 2005. Bench Seating will be upholstered as soon as the contracted upholsterer has acquired the materials from the manufacturer. We are continuing to improve the comfort in the Pavilion for members and it is hoped that everything will be complete and in place by the beginning of the outdoor bowling season.
Refurbisment 9/6/05.
The club refurbishment is now well under-way with the painting of the inside and outside of the Pavilion completed, The Notice boards have all been renewed and painted, we have boxed in the recesses in both the ladies and gents toilets in preparation for the plasterer to plaster and half tile all the walls in both toilets.
New Pedestal Sinks Toilet Bowls and Cisterns have been purchased and will replace the old ones in the next few weeks.
Improvement Grants Submitted today 14/12/04

As directed at the 2004 AGM progress has been made in the preparation in applying for various grants to improve the social facilities within our club house it is expected that these applications to various charities will be submitted before the end of the year.

The following notices of motion were Passed at the South Tyneside Bowling Association AGM on the 30th October 2004.
1. All playing members of the STBA must purchase a season ticket. (this includes Private club members and lady members).
2, No player shall consume alcohol whilst playing a game (This was clarified as 'whilst on the playing surface' only)
3, All players must wear correct clothing etc, white or club shirts, grey trousers and correct footwear during games.
4, A player may sign for another club in a league in which his or her first club do not play, this excludes Wednesday evening and the Sawyer Cup on a Thursday afternoon. Should he or she be required to play a re-arranged game on the night of his or her first club, he or she must play for the first club or not at all.
